On her website, Judy Morris says, “The subjects I paint are recognizable but certainly not painted in a photographic manner. The design of my 'painted shapes' is more important than painting realistic details. Many times I paint people. I always paint the presence of people, even if their image is absent in the painting. My work has been described as abstract but intimate.” This quote tells you a great deal about her relationship to her art. Learn more about Judy by visiting her website. See more of Judy's work now.

Every artist wants a successful painting. Every successful painting has an underlying structure that ensures success or creates visual problems. Judy will provide logical explanations of the elements and principles of design, teach you how to use inspiration without imitation, color chords that create harmony, texture techniques that add
surface interest to your painting, painting techniques that make you smile throughout the painting process, and finally, finishing techniques that make your painting a winner! Judy has 45 years experience as a painter and teacher. She will help you discover the most effective painting path for your painting style. Class time will be balanced between demonstrations, discussions, and painting time with individual help. The workshop will end with a formal critique of work completed in class.
